Derby County Football Club are looking for an IT Technician to join the Clubs IT Department to assist with servicing all aspects of the Club’s systems to the highest standards.
The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of computers and networking aspects with Windows 7 & 8, Sever 2008 & 2012 and Mac Operating Systems as well as other well-known desktop applications such as Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities would involve:
• 1st and 2nd Line support - assisting with day to day requests and problems from all corners of the club and ensuring that all faults are solved or escalated in a timely fashion.
• Setting up, troubleshooting, repairing and updating computers and other equipment (such as mobile phones and tablets) either via remote support sessions or in person.
• Suggesting and implementing changes to existing systems to improve the running of the department and/or systems, ensuring the Club is using the best software and hardware solutions wherever possible.
The candidate should also be keen to learn about new hardware and software systems and be able to work on their own and in groups as part of a team. They should also have either an appropriate qualification in the IT sector, or have equivalent experience working in an IT Department.
Any understanding/experience of AV & PA Systems would be advantageous but not essential.
The successful candidate will require:
• Excellent communication skills
• Willingness to learn and develop your IT skills further
• Hands on IT support experience
• Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.
Your core hours will be Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, although you will be required to be on site for home matches and some other out of hour’s events. Salary will range between £14,000 to £16,000 pa depending on experience.
A car and full UK driver’s license is advantageous but not essential, as you will occasionally need to undertake work at the Club’s Training Centre.

Ticket Office Assistants
We are looking to recruit additional team members to work within the Ticket Office on matchdays and to provide additional support in the week during peak periods and ticketing campaigns.
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing information to customers about fixtures, ticket sale dates and assist with ticket selection. You will also process payments for tickets, travel, memberships and assist customers with any queries that they may have.
The successful candidates will be enthusiastic with exceptional customer service and communication skills and both the ability and desire to deliver an incredible experience to our customers. Basic computer skills are also required. Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
