Tickets for big local derby now available on general sale.

Tickets for Derby County’s upcoming local derby at Nottingham Forest in just over a fortnight’s time are now available on general sale.

Nigel Clough’s men are sure to be roared on by a huge following at the City Ground on Sunday 30th September 2012 (1:15pm KO), with over 3,000 tickets already sold from the 3,781 initial allocation.

As a result, Derby have requested more tickets from Forest and a further 685 arrived at the Digonex Ticket Office late yesterday to take the Rams' allocation to 4,453.

Membership holders had an exclusive two-day window earlier this week to purchase tickets, as did season ticket holders from the middle of the week ahead of the general sale, which kicked off at 9am today.

Tickets cost £32 for adults, £24 for senior citizens, £16 for under-18s and £8 for under-12s.

Supporters are able to purchase tickets in person from the Digonex Ticket Office, by calling 0871 472 1884 (option 1) or by logging on to WeAreDerby.com.

Supporters are advised to purchase as quickly as possible to avoid disappointment as demand has been exceptionally high, and tickets will not be available on the day of the game.

Having done the double over the Reds last season, Nigel Clough’s men will travel across Brian Clough Way looking for their third consecutive victory over their fiercest rivals.

Last season’s clash at the City Ground saw Derby come from a goal, and a man, down to win 2-1. Andy Reid put Forest ahead inside the opening three minutes after Frank Fielding was sent off for a professional foul – but Derby stormed back to take all three points thanks to goals from Jamie Ward and Jeff Hendrick.
