Paul Coutts returns to the Rams' starting line-up after sitting out of Saturday's narrow 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town through illness.
The former Preston North End man replaces American youth international Conor Doyle on the right-hand side of midfielder, with the latter dropping to the substitutes' bench.
Otherwise the Rams are unchanged from their trip to the John Smith's Stadium, with James O'Connor continuing to occupy the central defensive position alongside captain Richard Keogh.
Rams forward Nathan Tyson misses out completely with a throat infection, so summer-signing Kieron Freeman comes in to the squad of 18.
Elsewhere, Mason Bennett (thigh) and Mark O'Brien (knee) are expected to return to full training later this week, whilst Club captain Shaun Barker continues his rehabilitation from long-term injury.
