Derby County fans have nominated Paulo Wanchope's debut strike against Manchester United as the greatest goal scored in the club's history.
The fans have spoken and decided that, out of the hundreds of goals scored by Derby County over the past 125 years, one stands head and shoulders above all the rest.
That goal was Paulo Wanchope's debut strike against Manchester United at Old Trafford in April 1997.
With the Rams already 1-0 up through Ashley Ward's early effort, the gangly Costa Rican picked up the ball inside his own half and languidly headed goalwards.
All four members of Manchester United's defence attempted to tackle him but Wanchope simply waltzed through them all, looked up and calmly rolled the slotted the ball past a despairing Peter Schmeichel to give the Rams a shock 2-0 lead.
Derby went on to win the game 3-2 and it helped kick-start a fondly remembered period in the club's history which included two top ten Premier League finishes.
Second place in the vote was Charlie George's goal against Real Madrid in 1975 and third place went to Robbie Van der Laan's promotion-clinching header against Crystal Palace in 1996.
The final totals are listed below. You can listen to a special programme looking at the top ten goals on BBC Radio Derby on Saturday August 1.
