Derby County today announced details of their 125th anniversary finale event, and the Rams are determined to round off their year-long celebrations in style.
The finale event will be held on Wednesday 9 December at QUAD in Derby City Centre, and fans can purchase tickets for the showpiece event right now.
The evening will be hosted by the voice of BBC Sport's Football Coverage, John Motson. Motson has been commentating on games for the BBC since 1968 and since he first appeared on Match of the Day in 1971, Motson has covered nine World Cups and nine European finals.
He has built a strong reputation as both a source of football knowledge and someone for whom a child-like enthusiasm for the game has never disappeared.
Tickets for the finale event are priced at £15 and can be purchased from QUAD in person, by calling the Box Office on 01332 290606 or by purchasing online at www.derbyquad.co.uk.
Rams players past and present will come together in an evening where the top ten Derby County Goals and All-Time Rams XI as voted for by the fans will come under the spotlight.
The event itself kicks off at 7pm on the night, and Rams fans are in for a treat as the Club celebrates the culmination event of its 125th year.
Over the past twelve months various events have taken place to celebrate Derby County's rich and prestigious history - such as the unveiling of the Steve Bloomer Bust, the Ramtiques Roadshow and the revealing of the Lionel Pickering entrance.
Derby County CEO & President Tom Glick commented: "We want to end our year-long celebrations with a terrific night and I'm sure we will have a fantastic turnout, so I would encourage fans to book their places early for what promises to be another truly special evening."
