Clough/Taylor Donations Continue

Posted on: Fri 27 Aug 2010

The Clough/Taylor monument has been bolstered with a further donation of £5,000.

Donations from a number of local companies and individuals since the launch in November mean that over half of the target has been achieved.

Last Saturday as Derby County entertained local rivals Nottingham Forest at Pride Park Stadium, Peter Taylor 's wife Lillian handed over a £5,000 donation to the fund.

The cheque was presented to Vice President John Vicars on the Pride Park pitch prior to kick-off who said: 'I have been amazed at the number of people who have declared an interest in supporting this project.

"Whether it is a donation or the purchase of Clough/Taylor merchandise this has really generated an enormous amount of interest. We are all looking forward to seeing the monument unveiled in the summer."

Rams fans are reminded that they can also support the fundraising project in a variety of ways.
