Preparation for the erection of the Clough/Taylor monument has this week gathered pace.
The monument to celebrate the achievements of Derby County's legendary management duo Brian Clough and Peter Taylor is scheduled to be unveiled in August.
On Tuesday, work began at Pride Park to prepare the area where the monument will take pride of place.
Derby County's Vice President of Operations John Vicars commented: "It has taken 12 months of planning to get to this stage, so today marks another significant step towards the completion of the project.
"It has been a real team effort and I am indebted to a number of people for their commitment and hard work which has allowed us to get to this point.
"On behalf of the club I would like to thank Garry McBride of Evans Concrete, Ian Hodgkinson of Hodgkinson Bricklayers, Matthew Montague of Matthew Montague Architects and David Leatt of Origination for their contributions."
Pre-orders are now being taken for a unique Clough/Taylor DVD that includes behind-the-scenes access featuring the entire project, including footage showing artist Andrew Edwards at work.
Various other Clough/Taylor memorabilia is also available by visiting shopDCFC or by logging on to www.wearederby.com.
