Work on the clay model of the monument to honour Brian Clough and Peter Taylor is almost complete.
Artist Andrew Edwards has been working with both families on the project over recent weeks and the figures will soon be cast in bronze before being unveiled in August.
Rams Vice President of Operations John Vicars said: "I paid another visit to the studio over the weekend and the work that Andy has achieved with help from both the Clough and Taylor families is amazing.
"I think people will be stunned with both the magnificence and size of the project when it is unveiled.
"The help we have received from the local business community to make this project a success has been unbelievable.
"I would like to pay particular thanks to Garry McBride whose company Evans Concrete are supplying all of the stone work for both the plinth and the surrounding area.
"Garry is a huge Rams fan and as soon as he heard what we were trying to achieve he couldn't wait to get involved."
The figures which are 9 feet in height will be mounted on a 10 feet stone plinth which will tower over the area outside the Lionel Pickering entrance.
The monument will be complimented by a seating area, designed by local architect Matthew Montague, where fans and visitors to the stadium will be able to congregate creating a true destination point.
Pre-orders are now being taken for a unique Clough/Taylor DVD that includes behind-the-scenes access featuring the entire project, including footage showing artist Andrew Edwards at work.
