Derby County Football Club is seeking to appoint an exceptional marketing manager who will be responsible for the club's marketing function.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing current marketing activities and service provision and determining the future strategy for the department to facilitate continuous improvement.
The key accountabilities are:
* Lead the implementation of marketing plans to achieve the club's business objectives.
* Provide ongoing professional advice and support to the executive and departmental managers on all marketing-related matters.
* Manage the marketing budget while driving efficiencies and effectiveness to achieve commercial objectives and seek new and innovative ways to gain maximum value from investment.
* To manage all aspects of print production, receipt and distribution, ensuring the cost effective production of high quality brochures, leaflets, posters, flyers and other printed materials.
* To manage and direct all paid advertising campaigns in national, regional and specialist publications to enhance the profile of the club and promote its products and services, ensuring a cost-effective and appropriate annual advertising strategy within the agreed budget.
* Identify and implement a key events programme to include events and exhibitions, attending as required to promote the club and ensure visibility, developing further contacts in target markets and generating further sales leads.
The successful candidate will have successfully worked on large-scale marketing programmes and managed a budget covering a large range of marketing activities.
They will also have had previous experience of managing people, have an exceptional ability to formulate marketing strategies, both internally and externally and manage multiple tasks, competing priorities and project conflict.
A professional marketing qualification is an essential requirement for the role.
