£20m PRIDE PLAZA BACKED BY COUNCIL

Posted on: Fri 09 Nov 2007

The £20m Pride Plaza development at Pride Park Stadium was given the OK by Derby City Council's planning control committee on Thursday night.

Shops, bars, a hotel and two stunning tree-lined pedestrian areas would be created outside the stadium as part of the scheme.

Outline plans were given the go-ahead at a meeting of the council's committee on Thursday.

The scheme would also include cafes, restaurants, a bank and other outlets and will create around 200 jobs.
