Derby County's end-of-season dinner saw big defender Darren Moore pick up the main player of the year award.

A panel of judges, including local journalists and pundits, selected the 34-year-old as the season's top man.

Moore told Tuesday night's packed ceremony: "In a season on which there have been many lows for us, this is still a prouod moment for me to pick up this award."

The centre-half was also honoured for his contribution to the community.
