The Rams secured a hard earned point at the Den in what was a battle between the two longest serving managers of the division.
Derby County manager Nigel Clough has been at the helm for three-years and 34 days, whilst his counterpart, Kenny Jackett took over from Richard Shaw and Collin West in November 2007.
In a tightly fought first-half, it was the Londoners who started the brighter of the two sides, with midfielders James Henry and Josh Wright both seeing long-range efforts fly harmlessly over Frank Fielding's crossbar.
As the half went on, Derby began to grow in confidence; with the visitor's first real chance of the game coming in the 21st minute.
Jamie Ward put Alan Dunne under pressure, and as the right-back hesitated, Callum Ball pounced, but from a difficult angle the 19-year-old saw his effort skim the outside of David Forde's far post, before going out for a throw-in.
Millwall fought back, and minutes later the home side came within inches of taking the lead, as Henry's corner from the right found defender Paul Robinson, but the returning captain watched his header fall wide of Fielding's goal.
However, with 35 minutes gone on the clock, Scotsman Craig Bryson should have opened the scoring for the visitors.
Ward's 25-yard curling effort was palmed straight into the path of Bryson, by Forde, but with the goal gaping, Bryson side-footed his effort agonisingly wide of the far post.
Minutes before the half-time whistle, the Rams launched a quick counter-attack and as Nathan Tyson broke clear down the left, the striker was scythed down by Wright - who was duly booked for his foul on the 29-year-old.
The second half started with a bang, as left-back Scott Barron's cross caused havoc in the Rams' penalty area. A goalmouth scramble ensued, before former Ipswich Town midfielder Liam Trotter fired wide under pressure from Fielding.
The Rams always looked dangerous on the break, and as Ward's cross from the right was knocked down by Ball, it fell kindly for Thomas Carroll, but the midfielder snatched at his effort.
Tottenham Hotspur loanee Ryan Mason's clever ball sent Henry through on goal, however as the midfielder hesitated, a combination of Paul Green and Shaun Barker thwarted the winger as he was about the pull the trigger.
In injury time it was the home side that came closest to securing a winner, as substitutes Feeney and Andy Keogh combined, before the latter headed inches over the crossbar from 6-yards out.
