David Jones says the Rams have to put the Wembley occasion out of their minds by the time Monday's play-off final arrives.
West Bromwich Albion stand in their way as Billy Davies's side look to earn themselves a place in the Premiership.
And Jones told RamsWorld that the clash with the Baggies should be a memorable one - but the game is all that matters.
"It should be a great day but we can't let the occasion get the better of us," the 22-year-old said
"We've got to concentrate on the 90 minutes and the main thing is that we get the result we want.
"It will be nice to put on a good performance to end the season and show that we deserve to be in the Premiership but the result is all that counts.
"We're not bothered if we win 1-0 with the worst performance ever."
Jones is eager to get going and admits he'd play the game "tomorrow" if he could.
It's been a good period of preparation since the semi-final victory over Southampton and now the finishing touches are being made ahead of Wembley.
"The manager has broken up training with a few days off, and we've been training well this week," Jones said.
"We also had the trip to Champney Springs, where we relaxed and also got a bit of training in.
"Preparation has been very good and now we're just building up to the game over the next few days.
"It seems like a long time since the semi-final so everyone is eager to get out there and get the game underway."
