"What do you say to that? Winning at Wembley in the play-off final, we'll be playing in the Premiership next year, it's absolutely fantastic.
"If someone had have said that last year, especially on the bus back from a thumping at Colchester, after going 23rd when we were beaten at home by Sunderland, amazing.
"We were unfortunate not to do it automatically so to come here and do it is absolutely brilliant.
"I can't speak highly enough of the lads, they were absolutely fantastic.
"It's the first time I've ever won in a play-off - my fifth or sixth now, and it's my third final.
"To do it here, it's not really sunk in yet.
"Just to see the fans and what it means to them, the players are all cheering still, it's an absolutely fantastic experience.
"I think we've put a bit of pride back in the city and Derby County is back on the map.
"Who knows when it will sink in, I haven't got a clue!
"All I know is that we'll be back in pre-season training in a few weeks, that's all that's in my head.
"It's been the longest season ever, we're now at May 28, but we can go into summer and think 'yes, it's fantastic' as we're going to all the big clubs next season.
"It's going to be really exciting."
