"It's the reason why you come to a club like this - you want to get into the top league, and from the way the manager spoke when I first came round I knew it was what he wanted.

"Since I've been here everyone has been tremendous, the team spirit is top class, and as soon as I came everyone made you feel welcome.

"It was tense out there, you can't deny that, but it was just like a normal game to be honest though with more riding on it.

"We just had to go out there and do what we normally do every week, and I think that's what we did today.

"It was an away performance, we nicked a goal and shut up shop, we did that and did it well.

"When you're on the pitch you don't really notice too much but when I came off I saw a few more things, the crowd etc, but while the game's going on you don't really see it.

"It's been a great day.

"All the lads are delighted with promotion, when you look at the fixtures for next season you can't pick a bad one out of them.

"We're going to some great stadiums and ours won't be out of place either.

"It's going to be a great year for the club."
