OAKLEY COLLECTS THE SILVERWARE

Posted on: Wed 01 Aug 2007

Rams skipper Matt Oakley gets his hands on the inaugural Brian Clough Trophy following Derby's 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at Pride Park Stadium.

Jay McEveley opened the scoring six minutes in and his assist sent Craig Fagan clear for the second on quarter of an hour.

A bumper crowd of more than 25,000 witnessed events on a night that was a fitting tribute to the great man - not least when both sets of fans rose as one for a chorus of "Stand up for Brian Clough".
