BENNY: FIRST GAME FELT GOOD
Benny Feilhaber pulled on a Derby County shirt for the first time on Wednesday night and admitted: "It felt good".
The American midfielder played for a little less than an hour in the reserves' 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
It was his first taste of football at Pride Park Stadium and he's looking forward to some more.
"It felt good to get out there," the 22-year-old said after the game.
"Pulling on the shirt for the first time was good and I enjoyed getting out there in the stadium.
"It was good to get to know some of the team more, to get to know the pitch here and the way the ball rolls, it felt good."
Feilhaber has already seen Premier League football close-up as an unused substitute in the 4-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on the second Saturday of the season.
Now he'll be hoping to be in the equation for this weekend's trip to Liverpool and says the Rams have got to go to Anfield and compete against the title-chasing Reds.
"We've had a tough time in the first couple of games so we've got to go out there and do everything we can to try and get some points," he said.
"We have got to prove to ourselves that we're capable of playing at this level, get our confidence back, and keep fighting and scrapping in every game to get the points we need."
