Benny Feilhaber is hoping to shake off an ankle knock in time for Derby County's trip to Liverpool on Saturday.

The American midfielder came through his first hour of action as a Rams player in Wednesday night's 2-2 reserve draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

But he's picked up a niggle and boss Billy Davies is keeping his fingers crossed that his million-pound man comes through OK ahead of Anfield.

"Benny has picked up a slight ankle injury but we're hoping he'll be OK for the weekend," the gaffer revealed.

"He played well for the reserves considering he hadn't trained for three days so all being well he'll be ready."
