Dean Leacock is no big believer in reputations - a striker is there to be stopped, whoever he is.
The 23-year-old centre-half could feature in Saturday's Premier League game against Liverpool at Anfield.
And if he does, that would most likely mean an on-field encounter with the Reds' record signing Fernando Torres.
Not that Derby's number five is in the slightest bit concerned.
"That doesn't bother me at all, I just go out there and try to do the best I can in every game," he told www.dcfc.co.uk.
"I'll just try and stop a striker from scoring no matter who he is or what his name is.
"Obviously as a defender you want to test yourself against the best players in the world.
"That's no different for me. If it's Torres, if it's Henry, I want to go there and show them about me.
"I want to do the best I can and show them what Dean Leacock can do."
Leacock is hoping for more success than on his last visit to Anfield.
He was part of the Fulham squad that travelled to Liverpool in March 2006 but didn't make the final matchday 16.
And he watched on from the sidelines as his team-mates fell to a 5-1 defeat having been level at 1-1 after 25 minutes.
But that gave him an insight into the unique Anfield atmosphere.
"When you hear the Kop singing it's frightening, but it's quality at the same time," Leacock said.
"It's a dream to be playing at places like that though.
"You wake up in the morning and know you're playing at Anfield - it's unbelievable."
Derby travel to Anfield on the back of three successive Premier League defeats, and a Carling Cup exit at the hands of Championship side Blackpool in midweek.
Liverpool, on the other hand, are unbeaten this season with two wins and a draw domestically coupled with a 5-0 aggregate victory over Toulouse in the Champions League.
But Leacock says the mood in the camp is still good.
"We haven't had the best of starts and we know we've got to improve, which we know we can," he said.
"We're in the Premier League, we are Derby County - a massive club in the best league in the world."
