Dutch second division side TOP Oss will provide Derby County's opposition when they head out to Holland next week.

The Eerste Divisie outfit will provide Paul Jewell's new-look squad with their first test - on Friday July 11 - as they prepare to mount an assault on promotion from the Championship this season.

TOP Oss - full name Tot Ons Plezier Oss - finished eighth in their division in 2007/08 and will take on the Rams as part of their own extensive pre-season calendar.

Jewell said: "The training camp is designed with one thing in mind - getting the players ready for the start of the Championship campaign on August 9 at Pride Park.

"Our entire build-up has been designed to make sure we are ready to hit the ground running and the trip to Holland and match over in the Netherlands is a big part of that.

"The facilities we will be using are top-drawer, the very best, and the players will be made to work very hard.

"Our close-season is going extremely well at the moment, both in terms of the players' attitude to their work and the recruitment of players."

The game itself kicks off at 7pm local time but is not at Oss's ground. It will take place at:

FC Prinses Irene
Sportpark De Schellen
Loo 8
5388 SB Nistelrode

Nistelrode is a small village in the Dutch province of North Brabant, about eight kilometres south of Oss - the home of TOP Oss.

Oss's most famous footballing sun is prolific Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was born there but never played for the club.

Derby's domestic pre-season schedule is as follows:

July 16 - Burton Albion away, 7.45pm
July 19 - Rotherham United away, 3pm*
July 23 - Oldham Athletic away, 7.45pm
July 26 - Mansfield Town away, 3pm
July 29 - Rushden & Diamonds away, 7.45pm
August 2 - FC Utrecht home, 3pm

* The game against Rotherham United will be played at the Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield.
