Defender Alan Stubbs is hoping to continue his pre-season with a tough test against FC Utrecht tomorrow.

The 36-year-old's preparations have been hindered by a niggling thihg injury that kept him out of action until the trip to Mansfield Town on July 26.

He got a good run-out under his belt at Rushden & Diamonds in midweek and is eager to face the Dutch top-flight outfit.

"It will be a tough test for us ahead of the game against Doncaster next week," Stubbs revealed in an interview soon to be screened on RamsWorld.

"The lads are looking forward to the chance to play in front of our home fans for the first time this pre-season so hopefully there will be a big crowd and we'll put on a good performance.

"As with all Dutch teams, Utrecht will play good passing football and there will be lots of running off the ball too.

"It will be a test for us but it is on we are looking forward to."
