The Rams' Carling Cup second-round tie away to Preston North End will be played at Deepdale on Tuesday August 26, with a 7.45pm kick-off.

This will be the first League Cup encounter between the two sides, while Derby's last visit to Deepdale ended in a 2-1 when Steve Howard struck both goals on New Year's Day 2007.
