On 26 July 2008 it was reported that Peter Gadsby had left his position as a non-executive director with the Club.

For the avoidance of doubt Peter's departure should not be taken as a reflection on his ability or performance or commitment to the Club.

His outstanding record of service to the Club over a period of 20 years speaks for itself, and the Club wishes to reiterate its appreciation for Peter's contribution to the success of the Club in recent years.

If there has been any misunderstanding by the public of the circumstances behind Peter's departure from the Club then the Club would like to apologise to Peter and his family for any distress caused by such misunderstanding.

The Club does not doubt that Peter had the Club's and the supporters' best interests at heart.
