The Coca-Cola Championship line-up for 2009/10 is complete after a weekend of dramatic ups and downs in the Premier League and play-off finals.
It all got underway on Sunday lunchtime with the League 1 final at Wembley Stadium, where Scunthorpe United returned to the Championship at the first attempt by virtue of a thrilling 3-2 victory over Millwall.
The Iron had been in front early on, trailed 2-1 before half-time, levelled it midway through the second half and won it through Martyn Woolford late on.
In the afternoon, the Premier League season came to an end with four teams battling to avoid joining West Bromwich Albion in suffering relegation from the top flight.
The Baggies were already down, with Middlesbrough and Newcastle United following them through the trap-door after all four teams - including Hull City and Sunderland - lost their final-day games.
The line-up was completed on Monday afternoon, again at Wembley, with the Championship play-off final between Kevin Blackwell's Sheffield United and Owen Coyle's Burnley.
Burnley took the spoils with a 1-0 win thanks to Wade Elliott's stunning early goal and earned themselves a place in the top-flight of English football for the first time in 33 years.
The new season's fixtures are released on Wednesday June 17 and we'll have more stats, facts and figures ahead of 2009/10 as part of the build-up here at www.dcfc.co.uk.
