Striker Tito Villa has returned to Mexico and joined CONCACAF Champions League runners-up CDSC Cruz Azul.
The 27-year-old joined Derby from Cruz Azul's rivals UAG Tecos in January 2008 and scored nine goals in his 53 appearances during the last 18 months.
Argentine front-man Villa was used largely as a substitute last season and netted twice in the Coca-Cola Championship, including an equaliser against Nottingham Forest, and also added a Carling Cup hat-trick at Brighton & Hove Albion.
