After Derby County's 3-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday last time out, Lee Croft believes the Rams could have done without the international break.
The right winger opened his Derby account in the victory and also notched an assist for Jay McEveley's second-half strike.
The Rams had suffered a heavy defeat at Cardiff City only days earlier and the former Norwich City and Manchester City wideman admits the Rams players are desperate for their next game to come around.
He told dcfc.co.uk: "It was imperative we went into the international break with a win, and it was very satisfying that we did it.
"The way we did it though, you want to go straight into another game not wait two weeks for the next one.
"It works both ways I suppose, we got beat heavily at Cardiff and we wanted another game to come quickly to redeem ourselves.
"It works the same when you win because you want to play again quickly to get some momentum going.
"We have the break though, and while it is a chance to rest we will still be working hard and come Leicester next Saturday we will be raring to go."
