Derby County's Academy will continue their search for fresh local talent on Wednesday evening.
The University of Derby will be hosting trials for age groups from 5 right through to 16 and Academy Manager Darren Wassall, along with other key members of the Academy, will be in attendance.
The evening is split into two sessions, first will be the trials for 5-11 years followed by the 11-16 trials, the later of which is completely full up.
If successful, trialists will be offered a free place at one of Derby's newly formed Development Centres - launched this season - or be invited to train with one of Derby County's Academy Teams.
Darren told dcfc.co.uk that the trials are vital to keeping a track on local talent.
He said: "The trials have been a resounding success in the past and we've had a large number of applications.
"The trials are essential in terms of what we're about, one player may slip through the net for whatever reason - certainly towards the older age bracket - and it is a chance for us to take a look at them and potentially bring them into the Academy or one of our Development Centres.
"We want to bring the best footballing talent from Derbyshire here if we can, and these trials are fundamental in doing that and getting our house in order.
"We have the backing of the Chairman of Football (Adam Pearson) and the Manager (Nigel Clough) and it is important for the local clubs - who we are working with, not against - parents and players to know that the whole club is involved in this process, not just one section of Derby County.
"That was underlined at our trials earlier in the season when CEO & President Tom Glick took time out of his busy schedule to attend."
The Academy also held trials for 5 to 11 year olds at Robert Sutton School, Burton last night.
Darren added: "We were pleased with how the trials ran last night and we appreciate all those there for taking the time to attend.
"Given we've had a large number of applications for Wednesday as well we're expecting a busy, and interesting, evening."
