Gary Teale says Derby County must keep the momentum going that they have built up from their last two games when they travel to Preston North End on Tuesday.
A 2-1 victory over Reading just over week ago was followed by a 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Derby make the trip north to take on Preston North End tomorrow in the first of back-toback away games this week.
And Teale believes Derby have the momentum behind them to put their troubles on the road this season behind them.
"We've picked up a bit of momentum from these two games (Reading and West Brom)," Gary told Rams Player.
"If we had lost on Saturday everyone would have been a bit low, but a win and a draw from the last two hopefully sets us up well for Preston and Watford.
"We want to put the away form right now, and with the confidence we've got from these games.
"The performance set the standard if you like; we need to show a bit more consistency.
"It is a busy month for us, but we're off to a respectable start so we want to keep going and pushing on."
Teale felt Derby were worthy of least a point against the Baggies thanks to DJ Campbell's dramatic late equaliser.
"We started well and we forced the issue against a very good side," he said, reflecting on the game.
"We wanted to get in their faces and for the best part of the game we did that and I think we deserved to win if anything.
"We showed great character again to come back, we've down that a lot lately.
"I'll be honest, if you looked around when they went 2-1 up we were all on our knees thinking we were beaten, but we managed to get one last attack and that was all we needed."
