Derby County's 125 celebrations reached a thilling climax with a star-studded event at the QUAD last night, hosted by the voice BBC Football John Motson.

Hundreds of supporters packed into the venue to enjoy a feast of nostalga, along with legends from throughout the decades.

Legends from the past were in attendance where the top ten Derby County Goals - voted for by listeners to BBC Radio Derby - and All-Time Rams XI - selected by the fans in conjunction with the Derby Telegraph - came under the spotlight.

Former stars Dave Mackay, Roy McFarland, John McGovern, David Nish, Ron Webster, Alan Hinton, Alan Durban, Archie Gemmill, Roger Davies and Colin Boulton were all there to celebrate the 125 glorious years of the Rams. From the present Nigel Clough and Stephen Pearson attended.

Championship winning skipper McFarland said: "It was a fantastic night and we all enjoyed sharing the memories and the great moments.

"This is a very special club, with a very special history and the event was a fitting way to conclude a year of celebration."

Host for the evening Motson said it was a privilege to be involved: "Derby County have a special place in my heart because my son is a season ticket holder.

"I remember the glory days from my vantage in the commentary box. It was superb to see all those great faces mixing with the supporters."

Rams CEO and President Tom Glick thanked everyone who took part: "I was very proud that our football club staged such a tremendous event and that we put the supporters at the centre of it.

"We have a rich history and an exciting future and the 125 celebrations have reflected that superbly."
