Martin Taylor says Derby County's players must put the glory of last weekend's local derby victory over Nottingham Forest when they tackle Sheffield United this afternoon.
The Rams return to Coca-Cola Championship action a week after their thoroughly deserved triumph over their local rivals with a tricky test at Bramall Lane against a Blades side who occupy the final playoff spot in the current standings.
Rams Coach Taylor says the Rams squad must focus on the future and not the past, and is looking for a similar performance to the Forest game after the players 'set the bar' with an outstanding display against the Reds.
"Last weekend has gone now and it is down to business again," Taylor told dcfc.co.uk.
"We've set the bar with a performance with what we produced against Forest, just like we did against West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United in December.
"It was just the three home games over Christmas where we really let ourselves down by losing to Doncaster Rovers, Blackpool and Scunthorpe United.
"We seem to be back to that level we were at in the autumn, and now we hope we can maintain that standard and against Sheffield United produce a similar performance and result.
"Against the top sides we have generally performed well and the lads have been up for it, which is what they should be for every game and we have to put that right."
Taylor also believes Derby are benefiting from having a settle defence with just one goal conceded in their last four matches.
"We're reaping the benefits of having a settled defence, there is no doubt about that," he said.
"It is great to see Shaun Barker and Jake Buxton clear of injury and forming a partnership and Nicky Hunt has quickly settled in at right back.
"Until just after Christmas the defence was never settled and right now we don't look like conceding goals, whereas before we did.
"We were being punished for silly errors, but now we're not making the silly errors.
"Keeping clean sheets is a good habit and when you're not conceding you can always nick one at the other end like we did against Forest.
"It can make such a difference and you can win the game."
