Robbie Savage has sent out a rallying call ahead of this weekend's FA Cup Fifth Round tie with Birmingham City, saying "we have to believe we can win it".
The Derby County captain is also calling on the supporters to "raise the roof", as they have done for the previous two home victories against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United.
Savage, a former Birmingham City player, will lead the Rams out at Pride Park on Saturday, with the visitors bringing a huge away following of over 5,000 supporters.
Speaking exclusively to dcfc.co.uk, Savage said: "This is going to be a fantastic occasion and something we are all looking forward to.
"Of course we are underdogs; we know that. They are a Premier League side who has done superbly this season.
"However, we are one of sixteen teams still left in the competition and we have to go into the tie not just believing that we can win the game but with the belief that we can go all the way.
"I mean, why not? We have shown that on our day we are a match for anyone and a lot of the so called bigger name Premier League sides have already been knocked out.
"There is no point even taking the field without belief and I for one will be making sure that we are well fired up when the whistle goes at 3pm.
"I'm not surprised that Birmingham is bringing so many supporters.
"I had the privilege to play for them, so I know the passion there fans have for their team.
"And they have had a brilliant season so far and are playing some great football; it has all the makings of a super game.
"However, I'm more concerned about us and what we can do; we have showed in the last month what we are all about and now we need to build on that.
"Pride Park was a cauldron of noise on Tuesday night against Newcastle and it made a big difference to the team.
"If the supporters can create the same again then it will be a huge boost to the team; I can promise them we will be doing all we can to get to the quarter finals."
