TWO MATCH BAN FOR JAY

Posted on: Mon 22 Feb 2010

Derby County defender Jay McEveley will be suspended for Derby County's next two Coca-Cola Championship fixtures.

The left-back saw dismissed for two bookable offences in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at home to Swansea City.

That triggered an automatic one-match ban but due to the fact that McEveley was dismissed in the 0-0 draw at Newcastle United in December, also for two bookable offences, he must serve a further one-game ban.

Therefore he will miss the away fixture at West Bromwich Albion on 27 February and the home game with Watford on 6 March.

Dean Moxey is set to deputise at left-back in McEveley's absence.
