LOAN WATCH: MIXED RESULTS FOR QUARTET

Posted on: Mon 08 Mar 2010

dcfc.co.uk monitors the progress of Derby County's out-on-loan players.

Luke Varney came on as a second half substitute in Sheffield Wednesday's much-needed 2-0 victory over Leicester City at Hillsborough. Leon Clarke scored both goals to hand the Owls victory, but they remain in the relegation zone.

Goalkeeper Ross Atkins took his unbeaten run to four matches whilst on loan at Kidderminster Harriers by keeping a clean sheet in a goalless draw at Eastbourne Borough. The Harriers are still in the mix for a playoff place and have won two and drawn two since his arrival at Aggborough last month.

Lewis Price was the unused substitute goalkeeper for Brentford as they held high-flyers Leeds United to a 1-1 draw at Elland Road. Jermaine Beckford spared Leeds' blushes with an equaliser to cancel out Ben Strevens' opener.

Defender Mark Dudley was in the Hinckley United line-up as they fell to a 2-0 home defeat against Blue Square North leaders Fleetwood Town, but they remain in the playoff places. He was replaced midway through the second half.
