Andy Garner believes if Derby County can embark on another winning streak during the coming weeks it will be 'perfect timing'.
The Rams have six more games to play before March is out, including an away fixture at Reading tonight.
Reading were beaten 4-2 by Aston Villa in the FA Cup quarter finals on Sunday despite leading 2-0 at the break and Garner is convinced that game will be out Reading's system come kick-off tonight.
"I am sure they will be disappointed, but at the end of the day once the game is over with it is in the past and the focus goes to the next game," Garner told Rams Player.
"They will be concentrating on the bread and butter of the League now, because they will desperate to stay in the Championship.
"A bit like ourselves their form has improved since the turn of the year, but haven't been able to pull clear sufficiently.
"We would like to break away that little bit further, especially with games coming up against teams in and around us in the table.
"If we can get on another run of winning games like we did a few weeks ago I think it would be perfect timing.
"That might pull us further away and give us some breathing space."
