MARTIN SET TO CONTINUE IN GOAL

Posted on: Tue 16 Mar 2010

David Martin is set to continue in goal for Derby County tomorrow night against Middlesbrough.

The on-loan Liverpool goalkeeper made his debut in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Doncaster Rovers with both Stephen Bywater and Saul Deeney ruled out of the game.

Deeney is back from suspension for the Tuesday night encounter with Gordon Strachan's side, but Bywater is still out with the back problem that forced him off in the early stages of last Tuesday's loss at Reading.

Rams manager Nigel Clough said: "David will continue in goal; what he did have to do on Saturday he did well.

"Saul is back and will be on the bench, but Stephen isn't quite ready just yet.

"He is having treatment and we are optimistic he will be available for Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday."
