BYWATER HAPPY WITH CLEAN SHEET

Posted on: Mon 22 Mar 2010

Goalkeeper Stephen Bywater announced his return to action from a back injury with a clean sheet at Sheffield Wednesday today.

Bywater returned after a two-game absence to help Derby claim their first point on the road in just over a month with a goalless draw at Hillsborough.

Whilst Bywater felt Derby could have won the game with the chances created in the first period he was more than happy with a point.

"I think we could have won it with the chances we had early on, but it was good point and clean sheet because it is never easy getting something at Hillsborough," he said post-match.

"It is important we carry on where we left off today at Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday."

Bywater admits being unable to play his part in the last two matches because of the back injury was frustrating.

He said: "It is so frustrating not being able to play as I want to do my bit for the team and the supporters.

"The medical team have been looking after me and the gaffer was always keen to make sure I was right before I came back.

"I trained yesterday and felt fine, so it was good to be out there again."
