Nigel Clough has praised departing duo Jay McEveley and Gary Teale.
Both players have been informed that their contracts will not be renewed upon their expiry this summer.
Clough is convinced the duo will have no problems at all finding new clubs for next season.
"There was a great deal of thought into both decisions," explained the Derby boss.
"It is always hard to tell good pros like Jay and Gary that offers aren't on the table for them.
"We feel as if we want a break from the past (both have been at Derby for over three years) and we want to take a different approach forwards.
"Jay has played in a number of positions this year and been a regular in the second half of the season, and I don't think he will have a problem getting fixed up.
"Nor will Gary, although speaking to him he wants to have a crack at playing abroad to try something different.
"They have both been good servants for Derby County and since we have been here we have been impressed with them.
"Jay and Gary have had up and down times at Derby, and we wish them both very well for the future."
