The best youth football teams from across England met this weekend at the Tesco Cup National Final, played at Derby County's Pride Park Stadium.
Having won their respective County and Regional rounds, 12 teams across three age groups, U13 boys, U14 girls and U16 girls competed in the National Final.
The winners, AFC Wimbledon, QPR and West Ham will now represent England in the climax of the competition, the UK final, to be played at the Reebok Stadium on May 16.
The Tesco Cup, now in its fifth year, is part of a wider commitment from Tesco to encourage youngsters to enjoy a healthy lifestyle and get involved in sport. The Daily Express, as part of their commitment to grassroots football, publishes weekly updates both in the paper and online.
Derby County striker Rob Hulse, who attended the event on behalf of the Rams; said: "The Tesco Cup is a competition I would have loved to have competed in when I was younger; it is a great experience for the youngsters to play at Pride Park for a chance to represent England. I wish the three English qualifiers the best of luck for the final of the competition."
Next weekend, former Liverpool legend John Barnes will attend the UK Final, as teams from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales battle it out to become champions of the 2010 Tesco Cup.
