Posted on: Thu 13 May 2010

Former Rams loanee David Martin has today joined League One side MK Dons.

The goalkeeper - out of contract at Liverpool this summer - has penned a three-year deal at stadium:mk.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper spent a month on loan at Pride Park towards the end of this season; answering Derby's SOS call for a goalkeeper with Stephen Bywater injured and Saul Deeney suspended.

He played two games during his loan spell with Derby.

He made his debut in the 2-1 defeat at Doncaster Rovers a day after joining on loan from the Premier League giants, and made his one and only Pride Park appearance a few days later in the 2-2 draw against Middlesbrough.

Martin actually began his footballing career with MK Dons before Liverpool swooped for his services in 2006.

Martin becomes the first signing of Karl Robinson's reign as MK Dons manager after he replaced Paul Ince earlier this week.
