Robbie Savage has backed Derby County to end August on a high note against QPR on Saturday by insisting: "We have the belief to get back on track".
Derby's 2-1 defeat at Coventry City on Saturday was their second in a row in the npower Championship.
With injuries reducing the options available to manager Nigel Clough, Derby produced another impressive display which merited at the very least a point.
That was arguably the case seven days earlier when Cardiff City defeated Derby at Pride Park by the same scoreline.
Captain Savage says the players have the belief to go into the two-week international break off the back of a positive result when Championship leaders Queens Park Rangers head to Pride Park on Saturday.
Savage told dcfc.co.uk: "When things aren't going well in terms of results, but you are playing well, you have to keep believing in how you're playing.
"I am convinced all the players in our squad believe in how we are playing; there's no doubt in my mind.
"Everyone has bought into the idea of the formation and it is working well for us.
"It is certainly enjoyable to play in, and it is nice not to be smashing it long from back to front.
"If we can marry the two together, it will be the perfect combination.
"If you keep those fundamentals you will get what you deserve.
"I think we can beat Queens Park Rangers. I really, really believe it.
"I am sure everyone at Loftus Road will be feeling exactly the same thing, and that is the beauty of the Championship and how open the league is.
"I think it could be a good game for us, we had a good record against the top sides last year at home."
Savage admits it is frustrating to take plaudits from opposition managers, but ultimately walk away with no points.
He admitted: "We have played well in games, and we battered Coventry at the weekend.
"Every statistic in the game was higher than theirs, but the only one that matters the most is the scoreline.
"It is frustrating to take the plaudits, but not have the points.
"We're dominating games but not getting the results.
"As a team, we've made collective and individual mistakes, myself included, and we want to cut that out."
