Luke Varney, Blackpool
Although Blackpool didn't have a Premier League fixture this weekend, Luke did feature for the Seasiders in a friendly fixture on Friday. Blackpool were in Latvia for a training camp throughout last week, and Varney featured in their 2-1 friendly defeat to FK Jelgava. Blackpool return to Premier League action after the international break away at Newcastle United on Saturday.
Arnaud Mendy, Tranmere Rovers
Arnaud made his first start for Tranmere on Saturday after joining the npower League One side on a month's loan last week, and he announced his arrival on the Wirral by scoring the only goal of the game as Tranmere defeated promotion hopefuls Peterborough United 1-0 at Prenton Park. He netted just before the break, converting from close range for the first goal of his career. It was a crucial strike, as it helped Rovers to their first win of the season. Lee Croft, Huddersfield Town
Lee came off the bench late in the second half as Huddersfield were held to a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth in npower League One on Saturday. Lee is yet to make his first league start for the Terriers, and came off the bench after 76 minutes at the Galpfarm Stadium. Antony Kay and Gary Roberts scored for Huddersfield after Josh McQuoid's opener, but Marc Pugh's equaliser earned the visitors a share of the points.
Ross Atkins, Tamworth
Ross kept another clean sheet as Tamworth moved up to fifth place in the Blue Square Premier with a 1-0 win at Mansfield Town on Saturday. Ben Wilkinson scored the game's only goal in the first half, keeping Gary Mills' side up with the early-season pacesetters. Keigan Parker did beat Atkins in the second half, but the ball crashed back off the bar. Atkins also denied Luke Medley to ensure the victory late on.
Greg Mills, AFC Telford United
Greg was in the starting line-up as Telford's unbeaten start to the season continued with a 1-1 draw with Blyth Spartans in the Blue Square North on Saturday. Paul Brayson had put Blyth ahead in the first half, but Andy Brown hit back for Telford from the penalty spot just after the break.
Graham Kelly, Bray Wanderers
Graham has been sidelined for the last month with a hamstring injury, and he was again missing as Bray were 2-0 winners at Dundalk on Friday evening. Bray are still bottom of the Irish Premier Division, but are only three points behind Drogheda United in the standings.
