Bailey Aiming For Home Comforts

Posted on: Fri 10 Sep 2010

James Bailey believes Derby County can make home advantage count against Sheffield United on Saturday.

The Rams face the Blades at Pride Park in their third home game of the 2010/11 season.

With a draw and defeat recorded in their first two home games this term, Bailey believes Derby can record their first home success of the campaign against Gary Speed's side.

He told Rams Player: "Sheffield United will be up for it on Saturday off the back of their first win of the season and a new manager taking over, but we will be too.

"We want to make home advantage count; our fans are fantastic and they support us right the way through.

"We're playing plenty of good football; but we just need to eradicate the little errors which have been costing us.

"We're doing fine, but once the mistakes are cut out we will do well."

Bailey says the disappointment of conceding two goals in injury time against QPR a fortnight ago is firmly out of Derby's system.

Derby had led 2-0 going into the final minutes, with Rangers hitting back twice to take a share of the spoils.

He said: "What's happened has happened, so we're all looking forward to Sheffield United on Saturday.

"We felt like we had lost against Queens Park Rangers after leading 2-0.

"It was a good result, but it didn't feel like it at the time."
