Promising forward Steve was snapped up from League One side Tranmere Rovers during the summer of 2008.
His Rams career has been stop-start due to injuries, but when Davies has been fit his ability and potential has never come into any doubt.
A fractured eye socket followed by a hernia operation hindered his progress towards the end of 2008. And at the end of March he was hit by another blow when scans revealed he had broken a foot, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
During 2009/10 he struggled with an ankle injury early on, followed by hamstring trouble from the autumn onwards. He scored two goals in two games early in 2010, and he seemed to be hitting top form before his hamstring went again.
Davies made his Tranmere debut in August 2005 against Oldham Athletic and soon established himself in the team, and 3 years later after making a name for himself he joined the Rams.
Steven was sidelined with cruciate knee ligament damage in pre-season 2010, ruling him out until 2011.
