Mitch is another graduate of the Derby County Academy.
The Derby-born youngster made his first-team debut for the Rams in November 2008 as a late substitute in the Carling Cup at Brighton & Hove Albion.
He played reserve-team football at Pride Park as a schoolboy in 2005 before joining the Academy and eventually signing professional terms in 2007.
Hangson is comfortable at centre-half, right-back or as a holding midfield player and gained first-team experience at Notts County in the 2008/09 season.
He missed the entire 2009/10 season with a dislocated kneecap and has since worked his way back to full fitness.
