American midfielder Benny Feilhaber arrived at Derby in August 2007 after completing a £1m move from German side SV Hamburg.
The Brazilian-born ace signed a three-year deal after winning his appeal to be granted a work permit.
Feilhaber played for UCLA - the University of California at Los Angeles - in the States before joining Hamburg in the summer of 2005.
He spent his first season with Hamburg's reserve side before making his Bundesliga debut in October 2006, and he also played Champions League football last season.
Feilhaber is a USA international who scored his country's winning goal in the 2007 Gold Cup final against Mexico.
His Derby debut came in the first game of September with a late substitute appearance in September's victory over Newcastle, and he came on for longer in the reverse at Arsenal a few days later.
His first start in a Rams shirt came in October when he lined up from the off in the 1-0 defeat at Reading.
Feilhaber has always looked a neat and tidy player in his appearances so far and shows plenty of comfortable touches on the ball.
