How's this for giant support - a huge ram and some great local support travelling to the other side of the world.

Warren Dickson, president of the Derby County Supporters Club in ACT, welcomed his nieces Suzannah and Rebecca over to Australia for a recent trip.

And they couldn't resist this photo opportunity before clocking in on Derby's progress back home.

Warren takes up the story...

Recently, our two nieces, Suzannah and Rebecca, from Newhall, made their first major overseas visit when they visited their aunt and uncle and cousins in Australia.

They had been saving for this adventure for some time and had planned their itinerary well to encompass Sydney, Melbourne and everything in between, which of course included the capital of Australia, Canberra, where their relatives live.

They were collected at Sydney airport and off to Canberra - a four-hour drive, which their uncle decided should include some of the tourist highlights along the way.

This was the last thing the girls wanted after a 30-hour flight in economy class from England, as they curled up in the spacious back seat to catch up on the lost sleep and eliminate the wonderful euphoria of international jet lag!

However, their eyes opened wide when they pulled into Goulburn for a rest stop and were confronted with the biggest ram they have ever seen.

Suzannah said we must get a photo and send it off to Pride Park.

This might just be the vision to get the Rams over the line and into the Premiership.

Their uncle Warren Dickson, who is the president of the Derby County Supporters Club in Canberra ACT, readily agreed.

The youngsters have been nervously watching the Rams' progress over the season.
