Derby Hospitals Charity wants to thank supporters from both sides who attended Derby County's match against Swansea on Saturday 20th February 2010 and donated to the Teen Pride Appeal.
This game was nominated as the Teen Pride game and staff and volunteers from Derby Hospitals Charity held a charity collection outside the stadium before the match which raised £700.00. A further donation of £185.00 from Derby County Football Club takes the total raised on the day to £885.00.
Following on from the success of the year long Teen Pride campaign which raised £40,000 for dedicated teenage areas at the Children's Hospital, Teen Pride Phase 2 aims to raise £20,000 for a "chill out" room and side rooms for adolescent inpatients.
Julie Chapman from Derby Hospitals Charity said "We just want to say how much we appreciate Derby County Football Club giving us the opportunity to hold a charity bucket collection before the match and the generosity of the supporters who kindly made donations for this very worthy cause".
