Derby County are offering free travel to 1,000 supporters.

Derby County are delighted to announce that the club will be offering 1,000 supporters free coach travel for the side’s Capital One Cup encounter at Leicester City later this month.

The Rams take on the Foxes in an East Midlands derby in the Third Round of the competition at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday 24th September 2013 (7:45pm kick-off).

Derby sealed their path into the Third Round following victories over Oldham Athletic and Brentford respectively, and the club are eager for supporters to turn out in their numbers, to help spur the side into the Fourth Round.

The club have taken the decision to offer free coach travel for 1,000 supporters, in an effort to try and ease the financial burden on those who follow the team on their travels.

President and Chief Executive Sam Rush said: “We are always looking at new initiatives to try and keep watching Derby County as affordable as possible.

“Everyone at the club understands that football can be an expensive business, and we are continually working hard to try and provide our fans with value for money.

"With this in mind, we are pleased to be able to offer free coach travel to 1,000 supporters for this month’s Capital One Cup tie at Leicester City.

“After such a good showing in the competition thus far, we hope this offer will encourage our supporters to continue their fantastic backing away from home, and roar the side into the Fourth Round.”

For fans to claim their free seat, they are advised to register their interest at the Digonex Ticket Office when purchasing a ticket for the Capital One Cup tie.

Leicester ticket prices are: Adults £15, Under-22s £10, Under-12s £5 and Under-8s £1.

Derby have an allocation of 3,247 tickets to sell in advance and details will be confirmed in due course if supporters can pay on the day.

Tickets will be on sale to Away Members on Friday 6th September, Season Ticket Holders on Monday 9th September, prior to going on sale to Home Members on Friday 13th September.

The General Sale will commence on Monday 16th September.

Tickets will go off sale on Sunday 22nd September, and any unsold tickets will be returned to Leicester.

Supporters can buy their tickets for the match in person at the Digonex Ticket Office at Pride Park Stadium, by calling 0871 472 1884 (option 1) or by logging on to WeAreDerby.com.

Please note, the 1,000 free places are available on a first come, first served basis, with no more seats available once these have been claimed.
