Derby County To Face Notts County In Pre-Season

Rams to face Magpies in pre-season friendly at Meadow Lane ahead of the 2014/15 season.

Derby County have today confirmed that they will face Notts County in a pre-season friendly ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.

Steve McClaren’s side will travel to Meadow Lane on Saturday 19th July 2014 (1pm kick-off) to continue their preparations for next season.

Shaun Derry’s men pulled off what was labelled as the ‘Great Escape’ to retain their League 1 status at the end of the 2013/14 campaign, as a 1-1 draw at Oldham Athletic proved to be enough to avoid relegation to the fourth tier.

Ticket information for the game will be communicated to Derby supporters in due course on dcfc.co.uk.

Prior to the journey across the A52 to face the Magpies, Derby will take on four non-league sides.

The Rams will travel to Evo-Stik League Northern Premier First Division South side Mickleover Sports on Tuesday 1st July (7:15pm) before heading to Evo Stik Premier Division Matlock Town on Thursday 3rd July (7:45pm).

They will also face Ilkeston FC, also of the Evo Stik Premier Division on Saturday 5th July (3pm) before heading to Conference outfit Nuneaton Town on Tuesday 8th July (7:45pm).
