Rams confirm brand new shirt sponsorship deal from the start of the 2014/15 season.

Derby County is delighted to announce JUST EAT, the world’s leading online takeaway ordering service, as their new main shirt sponsor.

The two parties have signed an undisclosed three-year deal which will see JUST EAT’s company logo displayed on the front of the Rams' shirts starting from the beginning of the 2014/15 season.

JUST EAT operates the world’s largest online marketplace for ordering takeaway online, providing consumers with an easy and secure way to order food from thousands of local takeaway restaurants, online via desktop, tablet, mobile or app.

Last year alone, JUST EAT processed over 40 million orders and generated nearly £700M in food orders for their 36,000 strong and growing restaurant partners worldwide (over 20,000 in the UK).

Derby’s relationship with JUST EAT will include a wide range of activity including experiential stunts during matchdays, joint activity on the Rams and JUST EAT’s social media channels, plus sponsorship of a specific Derby County Community Trust Project.

Derby County’s President & Chief Executive Sam Rush said: “We are delighted to have an international brand of JUST EAT’s stature becoming our shirt sponsor for the next three seasons.

“The deal is a reflection of the progress we have made as a Club in recent times and we’re looking forward to working closely with JUST EAT in the months and years ahead.

“There are plenty of benefits for our fans within the sponsorship agreement as well and we’re pleased to have JUST EAT on board with us.”

Graham Corfield, UK Managing Director of JUST EAT, said: “This announcement is our first significant venture into sports sponsorship and signifies an exciting new partnership for the brand. We’re hugely thrilled to be sponsoring Derby County Football Club at such a promising time in the club’s history.

“There’s a real synergy between live sport and takeaway food and we think we have a lot to offer as a brand in the football world. We can’t wait for next season to kick-off and will be cheering the Rams on throughout the Play-Offs too.”

JUST EAT will replace BuyMobiles.net after four years as Derby’s main shirt sponsor.

Buymobiles.net Managing Director and founder Paul Sisson is a life-long Derby County fan and he will remain a corporate client at the iPro Stadium, with BuyMobiles.net retaining a Proud Partner status and importantly cheering on the Rams from the Toyota Suite.

Sisson said: “It has been an absolute pleasure to be Derby County's main shirt sponsor for the last four years - more than that - it has been a privilege for me as a lifelong Derby fan.

“I would like to thank Derby County for working with us and making it such a success - during the four years our turnover (A1 Comms LTD) has grown from £30m PA to £120m.

“I would also like to thank the thousands of Rams fans who have become customers of ours and many who have become friends of mine.

“Of course I will continue supporting Derby as a fan and fingers crossed I will continue to be in a position to support them commercially for the foreseeable future.

“My last wish is that I see Derby promoted to the Premier league wearing the BuyMobiles.net shirts.”

Rush has also thanked BuyMobiles.net for their support by saying: “We would like to thank Paul Sisson of BuyMobiles.net for their support over the last few seasons as our shirt sponsor.

“We have thoroughly enjoyed working alongside them and we very much look forward to them remaining a club partner for many years to come.”

The ‘handing over of the baton’ as Derby’s main shirt sponsor will take place on the iPro Stadium pitch at half-time during the Rams’ Play-Off Semi Final Second Leg clash against Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club on Sunday 11th May.
